Can you ID the Company/logo on this gold filled pin? Seems it should be natural gas related unless I'm seeing it wrong? I have a 40 year round pin and this 45 year square tag that is on a bracelet. Both are identical other than the shape.

I believe this could be your "BU University"......

Bethesda University from California. They call themselves the "Flames"

Educational flame? Graduating year versus years of service. Okay, I didn't think of that. I'll see what I can come up with.

Since I am retired from a utility company, gas & electric, I thought of a gas flame and maybe Baltimore Utilities??

The search continues. Everything else matched, but i do agree, the "45" looks like a graduating year and i missed their founding year.

I'm still convinced it's an employee service pin myself. Based on similar ones that I've seen and handled. I believe it dates to the 60's or 70's. Here are a couple similar in style...

Baylor? I guess it represents the dumpster fire that Baylor has become...

The numbers on the pins are both divisible by 5 - Employee service award pins. Not grad years.

I think you are correct in you dating. The filigree style looks like 60's or 70's.

I like the Utility Company idea.
