Hi I found this about a yr ago and discovered the serial #'s today also that it was silver plated The serial #'s match on both items (though they were found about 30 feet apart) I also found a powder flask that day I belive belonged in the box with this gun The serial # is 94676 . If any one has any info on the yr issued i would be gratful thank you

Someone mentioned in an older post that Colt will trace the number but very expensive.

I had heard that as well, depending on how much, it would be cool to know who owned it, and look into their history as well!
