Been hunting this field for just 4 times now and my last time there (July 9) gave me my first "old" silver.

Looking thin in the hole, I knew from the solver edge that it was very likely Spanish.

Other older finds include an escutcheon plate, flat buttons and utensil handle.

Video is posted to my YouTube channel McDigs Bmore

Awesome, I love finding that Spanish silver good job

Thx Tommy! Yes, it appears that there are targets (old) to be found here; this is a long-settled area in Baltimore Co.

Thx TOM! I plan to make it my "go-to" spot for now, but not expecting as many finds as during the winter months; grass height makes it more challenging.

Thx Scrappy! I expected to find LCs here and have yet to get that type of signal.

Thx dirtlooter! Not certain if this land's been detected. Based on present results it would appear that there's more to be found.

Thx Ken! It was one of those rare moments, finding a pre-1800 coin.

Thx Silvermonkey! Will do. This site is in Baltimore Co. and with the annual permit I'm allowed to hunt throughout the year.

Thx CASPER-2! Hope there are more faint, deep signal to come.

Thx much ddf! Best detecting here is in the winter for land hunting. Soil's wet and not too cold to stay out for most of the day. I cut my hunts short in the summer to about half the time I'd be out in the winter.

Thx pepperj! That escutcheon plate has me baffled with the two round holes and the square in the middle. Perhaps the outer holes were merely decorative and it was held to a case or furniture piece with the single square hole.
