What is up Tnet:hello:

Just got my detector back from being fixed i snapped it in half a few weeks ago..

Got out to a cellar i had already been to but for some reason i had a feeling to go back:icon_scratch:

It was snowy and slushy but i ended up pulling this killer 1775 "Liberty" buckle and gave me the push to hit it hard.It was my first dig
2thumbsup.gif

I cannot find this particular buckle anywhere online but im sure its Revolutionary War related..I read something about a Albany regiment but no pics.So a positve ID is needed please..

Felt good to get out i also grabbed a childs toy pewter iron..Imagine that, this is what children played with:laughing7:

Colonial chape and a smoked like cheech and chong Largie..

Good luck out there:hello:

~Blaze~

Got my banner vote, Awesome find! Hope you can find the missing piece.

JB, There sure is a lot of discussion going on in this post. Is the "L" an "E" or the "E" an "L"? Did the same person engrave both pieces ? A lot of questions. I know what I see is an "L" and I know that there is no way that we can be certain that the same person engraved it without positive record keeping by the maker. There then it could still be an apprentice's handiwork.

Initially I only reserved "Banner" like some others waiting on positive ID. In retrospect does it any of this really matter?
I think not. Banners are open to question all day long, even after many of them are deservingly voted as such. It is certainly a nice feeling to have your fellow hobbiest and friends recognize what we all love to do in a "Banner" find. But that is all it is , recognition.

I beleive that your piece is authentic and I also believe that that is one hell of a "Banner" find.

Johnny! Haven't been on in a while to post.....but saw this last week. This is a great candidate for Best Finds of 2014. Congratulations on a wonderful piece of history! First one I've ever seen..(or heard about) for that matter. Hogge

You don't always need all the answers.

Personally......I want to have ALL the answers! Just ask me.....I'll tell ya. And if not......I'll just make something up!:laughing7: I also have a problem with "authority". I like to question "them". Kind of a little hobby of mine.

Ok great Hoggeeeee, the question I have for you is.... Why have I not found a single silver coin this year?

Even I can answer that:-) don't you recall how I told you to break the curse?

Yep , it's ironic you feel this way .. but Don't feel alone , most of the SJ hunters are long gone because of, I will call them "over sites ", Artie had 6 votes for a Flowing Hair , yours truly received NO votes for the only seated dollar ever posted , alright it was in a burned down building and damaged but it was a legit silver seated dollar , so my attitude is now post a find .. nah
" for who for what ",
not sharing finds saves all the work and the less info you put out there the more less land permissions you have to lose .

Is it about voter partiality , absolutely ,
will 10 cents and a banner buy ya cup of coffee ? instead , Read about beach finds from the poste rwho never will know how to start or end a sentence and Bo hoo hoo to you too .Get over it and the best there ever was do not tell nothing to anyone , es.p the IRS :laughing7:
How do you know how many banner votes you get on something you posted?

Nope... but we're heading out Friday so lay it on me again.
Bury that merc dime at a time that ends in 8 at 8". Then urin8 on that spot 8 times. The curse shall be broken until you dig your next merc

Big congrats on the Banner Mr. Blaze !! I knew it was a very interesting item =)

I too was just waiting for a positive ID, but anything that garners this much interest has to be Banner worthy. Congrats!

You were WAY overdue for a trip to the BANNER. So glad you're up top on Tnet now, my friend. What a fantastic piece. I wouldn't be in much of a hurry to sell, even though some offers may seem flattering at first glance.

Congrats,

Buck
