Years ago I came upon a pioneer/colonial camp in Middle Tn. Found these pewter buttons and coins. 1766, 1780, 1781, 1805, and an unknown dated "pieces of eight."
Any additional info would be helpful. Thanks!

The clarity of the photo is a bit blurry so it's hard to see anything clearly.

Found in a field next to a spring. The field has been farmed for many years, so we were finding things across maybe 100-150 ft? The surrounding hills were covered in Civil War camps as well.

Ok. Only reason for asking, most of those buttons seem very similar (from same coat)……if the silver was found in close proximity, I’d guess you found what used to be somebody.
