When exposed to platinum, hydrogen peroxide or H2O2 (pure undiluted) explodes into oxygen and steam which produces the thrust! HH omnicognic

I actually soak my contacts in a H2O2 solution with a platinum disk in the bottom. Over the course of 24 hours the solution becomes saline. Stings when you put the wrong solution in eye however!

Great post. I've got some old roman coins I bought off eBay that I've never cleaned. I think I'll try one in the h2o2 this weekend.
