Civil War Hideouts

I totally agree although I'm not familiar with any eastern Native American making stone structures. However, a person must keep an open mind as to any possibility.

There are stone ruins in the southeast mountain regions attributed to some South and Central American Indians that migrated around the 1200's, as well. And brought their languages also. They supposedly evolved into a tribe (or tribes) in the region. I need to search my files to get the exact names, dates and the like.

UPDATE

A while ago I came across a program on NETFLIX entitled 'America Unearthed' hosted by Scott Walters, a forensic geologist.

To begin with, Walters takes numerous liberties (or leaps of fact) with actual facts, even with obvious anomolies, to present a truth...which may be questionable. Having said such, here is the story...:

There is a half-square mile site located on a mountain top within the Georgia Chattahoochee National Park referred to as the 'Track Rock Site', that supossedly dates from around 1200 AD, that may relate to a MAYAN INDIAN migration. The connection is that the Mayan's became or evolved into the CREEK INDIANS, having similar art, culture, structures, and almost identical language. The Track Rock Site contains approximately 300 stone structures.

I would love to just explore all those caves and structures. I would relax while doing it....
