I found two odd items that are in the Atlanta Battlefield area. I also found a three ringer bullet within a few yards of these items.

The Civil War Confederate Flag item may be an after the war pen of some kind. I included the back of it but the back doesn't give me a clue as to what this item was for. I would appreciate anyone's input on this.

The piece of button is a Scottish Coat of Arms from what my research found. I found a 50's era button that was similar but this button seems to be older in my opinion. It is just the front of a button.....maybe a two piece design.

The writing on the button is .....SPECTEMUR AGENDO.

I am really curious about this Flag item. It would be cool if it was a Civil War period piece.

Thanks folks!

Holy Toledo! Looks like the pin that was on my replica Confederate kepi that I lost back in 64 detecting around Kirkwood, Glenwood Ave., Grant Park, East Atlanta, Sugar Creek, DeKalb Ave., and the new I-20 expressway that just leveled Legget's Hill at Moreland Ave. Ahhhh, those were the days, minie balls just laying on the ground after a heavy rain, buttons, shell fragments, belt and cartridge plates gave up their hiding spots to the relentless beeping of my Fisher M-20 BFO metal detector. I believe I lost that pin around the back of that old school that is against I-20 and just off Moreland Ave. Is that where you found it? Did you know the dead from the July 22, 1864 Battle of Atlanta were never buried? Locals would just dig a hole and toss in the bones that turned up in there gardens after the war. I had one minie ball that had a chunk of bone still embedded in it's soft lead nose where it smacked into somebody. I don't really think that is a CW period pin, but could be wrong. I do remember finding lots of modern stuff all mixed in with the relics there though. Good luck on your hunting, that's a BAD neighborhood now, especially if you have light skin.

Just when BigC forgot about this one! :laughing9:

I was younger then. I try not to argue with people anymore. I must have removed my comments. I believe I IDed the civilian blazer button. So what is the verdict on the pot metal flag? Has it been solved?
