4 more coppers from copper hill. Three were toasted but this one came out pretty nice I’d say. I gave it a solid 4 hours today and I dont think Ill be finding much more there but it certainly has been fun
If you look at the shape of the forehead I would say it is almost certainly a counterfeit. I'm no expert though. Counterfeit or regal it's still awesome and would have me very excited. It could be a machins mills. You might want to look into that.
Oh, there's always more there dude! Probably should serve as a nice back-up site for you. I'd agree with others that it looks counterfeit but a great looking obverse for sure. I've been told by a few long time detectorists up here that it's the coin side facing down that usually looks worse because of moisture trapped underneath the coin. The top side dries out once the soil dries out etc. Not sure about that but that's what I've been told. Who really knows, right?
