Charleston Harbor project

I have not heard of any bombshells, but I would not be suprised if there was one...a lot of people don't realize what a major port Charleston was up through the Civil War years. It was the 3rd largest city in the United States at the time of the Revolution. Tons of shipping traffic went through Charleston. I know for a fact that cobs have been found on Morris Island.

I was reading about it a couple weeks ago, they have it mapped out, but have not done much else. RGecy would most likely know he does a lot of the magging for them. I know they have the row of rock filled blocker ships, and a bunch of ships all over the place in the harbor. Yes it is a nice port. Deep water on both sides, big wide opening, an island in the middle for a fort, must have been a sight back in the day. I was just there the other day looking out to Fort Sumter and all over, thinking about all the bottles that are buried under the mud. A lot of history there. Its been a city for over 300 years.
