Very nice Celtic 3-way strap Junction :headbang: :o

Banner all the way, I wish I had found that :blob7:

When looking at the back i could see that this is no brooch... As a 3 Way junction i assume it is from a horse harness? Banner find for sure!

Re: Celtic sun looked at me.

Hello ossi,

Totally awesome finds, you must be extremely happy. :blob7: I am in no way a historian or an expert, but the Celts worshipped a lot of pagan gods (i.e. the sun), so what is with the Crucifix? By the way that is also an awesome piece, I love it. Congratulations Again. :hello2:

Re: Celtic sun looked at me.

BANNER vote from California for this wonderful piece! When you have time, let us know its approximate age, type of metal, and some details about the area it was found. How deep was it? Is the site near an old road or old townsite or is it more isolated? I like your many other finds also! Andi

Greetings. I'm sorry I fight the translator machine

The coins of these two lines of the hill I found three years ago..................................................................The Hunt 2011 11 11 on Sunday. In this day and the other thing was this Sunday .25-28 cm deep, grassy pastures 4 small hill near the river there. Marshland but the sandy soil of the hill. I think Celtic decoration, ornament the harness is not too good. the other thing hanging piece of the belt. Made of bronze, not only purified water .. Collections will be a nice piece. in this area are not included in the archaeological writings from the Celts. But I hunt for things.
In this article, I have not seen any more after attending can show function.

Agreed, can't find an exact match on the web, but it is a harness fitting & it is Celtic :blob7: I think I may have seen one similar in a book, but got too many to look through them all :-\

Re: Celtic sun looked at me.

Only a sentence:
I am new though here, but this does not mean that I started this hobby now. I believe it so I saw ones like that already, what many people would like only here.
I read much literature, I am a lot on ground. But Celtic not you live in England only...
It was not a question until a moment that this object is with a Celtic origin.

Re: Celtic sun looked at me.

Nice results, I treasure that no harness! Celtic ornament disc is the exact name. Representation of the day, the spiral of life, life, death and resurrection. Thank you for your comments. The Banner, unfortunately not!? Ossi

I think everything is lost in translation. What was this used for if its not a horse strap fitting?

Re: Celtic sun looked at me.
