Why you country bumpkin! My school had 3 rooms with a sliding divider that divided the classroom into two grades! We were urbanites! Monty

Ours must have been mini-urbanites then. LOL We had 3 rooms for 6 grades. One of the classes was small enough to use the school stage.

My daughter Teresa went to 4th grade in a one rm schoolhouse...first through fourth grade

That is a pretty good size bunch of kids for one grade in a country school. And it looks like a nice building.
Annemarie is doing a nice job of restoring the foto. She will have it looking pretty nice when she is done.

Stoney, your school had a stage? Wow! Now don't get uppity on us! We didn't even have a room large enough to eat lunch until 5th grade, then they built on a gymnasium/cafeteria with a stage! I got to walk across it the next year when I gradjiated sixth grade. Gradjiated is how Jethro Bodein use to say it. M nty

Yep although a small stage. LOL Got the whole 4th grade classroom on it. If ya gradyeated, ya got to move down to the front of the stage for the 5th grade.
School's still standing. Will see if can get some pics later today.

Great memories...

Maintaining contact with former classmates, to me, is extremely important...

I graduated with 430 classmates...of which 40 or so and their spouses attended our wedding reception this last October.

My senior class has maintained a pretty close relationship. I attended my 40th reunion and couldn't believe they all brought their grandparents! My very first true love was there and she really looked pretty good still. But my wife was the prettiest "girl" in the house as usual and I am so lucky. I wish everyone that wanted to would post pictures from their past just to see how everyone has changed. I have a portfolio Kay made that goes from first grade through high school and my military and police career. We still look at it and laugh. Now we have our kids and the grandkids pictures to look at and that's what it is all about. Monty
