✅ SOLVED Can someone identify this weapon casing?

Hi, can anyone tell me something about this casing, if that's what it is called! It looks brass on the outside but more like copper on the inside. It measures 61.5cm tall, 15.1cm across the bottom and 10.2cm across the top. There is a stamp on the bottom which does not show in the photos which reads CN - 105 - F1 and another which reads S 3 - ARS - 8.

Any help much appreciated!

How about a 105mm shell..F1 would probly be type projectile..thats my guess

google says it's a French 105mm shell. it is mentioned in this article as being used in their AMX tank The French AMX-30 Tank - TankNutDave.com
