Took a camping trip in Big Sur Ca. I found several pennies and dimes on our campsite. I havent done MD much, so this served as good practice. I was able to discern coins from trash. We went to carmel beach were I was able to find more pennies and other assorted coins. Nothing very interesting or old, but while visiting Andrew Molero Beach I found a large coin. I recognized the pic of a queen on it. I knew it wasnt US. I couldnt make out the date without my glasses on, so I had my son read the date. 2013 Canadian. :BangHead: At which point I realized taking my glasses on would have been helpful. The trip was great practice. I brought some sand from the beaches for my tumbler ( I dont think anyone will miss it). Carmel beach has fine sand for polishing, I got more coarse sand from Carmel River Beach. I did happen to find Iron pieces from one of the beaches that I need to clean to try and find what they are. All in all any vacation where you can MD and listen to the ocean at the same time Priceless.:headbang:
