Relic Hunting
I went back to the place that I found the 1851 Saber Belt Plate and Vermont Button, and had one heck of a day! The construction crew demolished an old 1920s house, and I was amazed at what came out from underneath it!!! I dug well into the night, nugget after nugget! My finds include:

9 Bullets (3 minie balls, 1 gardiner, 1 enfield, 3 colt, 1 round ball)
1 sword scabbard tip
1 1876 silver dime
1 1871 indian head penny
1 1867 shield nickel
1 1810 Large Cent
3 Eagle buttons (2 cuff; 1 Gold plated Coat)
********************** Here come the goodies
1 Solid Cast C.S.A. Button
1 1793 Chain Cent
1 Unknown Token (last two pictures; I think its a Prussian medal c. 1815, it says "NEUE EHRE NEUES GLÜCK" on the front and Voll Muth on the back. I am unsure of the value, any help is appreciated!!!)

There's only one bad thing about that hunt: you're going to have a very hard time topping it ever!

They are all good, and some are better than others! Outstanding finds! The 1793 Chain Cents are going for "Moon Money", and considering the history and how few were minted in 1793, I'd call that a "Once in a lifetime" find. The 1810 is a nice coin too. 1871 is a semi-key Indian. Relics too! Wow! What a hunt!
Thanks for sharing,
Phil

Chain Cents are extremely difficult to find. CSA button is also a tough one. Very nice hunt.

You Dog!!!
For Real Congratulations 'That Chain Cent Is Banner W/O saying' Still hunting a Cast CSA, That 1871 Indian looks to be in great shape & The Seated & the LC's & The Relics.

Wow all from a Know & I would assume Hunted Hard Site (& By the likes of GPX Series Machines ,TDI's ATX"s)
Must be Trashy???
As Many Say "Follow The Dozier s"

p.s. Your the TN Man for Now IMO , Enjoy it while it lasts.
Davers

Wow - I know this sounds like a broken record, but that chain cent is an incredible find. Looks like it might clean up a bit too, but only trust that to a professional. I have someone I can recommend if you're interested, but it'll require that you put the coin in the mail. Love that jetton too. Never seen one quite that "new" :laughing7:.

You don't see many posts where a CSA button is a distant 2nd place find, but here is one. Can't put a value on that chain cent until it's properly attributed conserved. Please show us the reverse of the chain cent so we can see if it's the better "Ameri." variety or the more common "America" variety. My guess is that this coin is worth bare minimum $10,000, and if it is properly conserved, it's more likely to be worth $20,000 or even more.

Definitely don't clean it; send it off to NCS for professional conservation. Professional Coin Conservation from Numismatic Conservation Services. And please use Registered mail so it can't go missing!

Wish I was There LOL.
What machine You Using.?

I am using my veteran tesoro tejon! I've had it for about 10 years, I love it!

Damn a person would be clicking their heels together after the CSA, never imagining a Chain Cent could follow. Just imagine if someone was so happy with the button they could no longer focus and rushed home to post, and missed out on the coin.

It appears that your many hours of probing has certainly paid off full time. Amazing finds there.

Um... I call this a banner hunt all day long.
WD.

Great finds great hunt

Ha - the funny thing is that even the "pedestrian" find of the IH penny is a semi-key date! That hunt goes utterly beyond belief.

Congratulations on several great finds.... The Chain Cent is either a Sheldon 1 or 2. Both have the same Obverse but are completely different on the Reverse, with the Sheldon 1 having AMERI and Sheldon 2 having the full word spelled out AMERICA. 1793 Large Cent - Sheldon 1 1793 Large Cent - Sheldon 2

Awesome CSA button! I've only found one and it's my favorite find! Super big congrats!
