By the way

Packer, I know that you're on the WC and wouldn't expect you to make the trip. As mentioned, I'm talking about those that are literally a stones throw from DC. As far as your next 2 questions, I'll gladly answer them too

#1 The 2nd amendment gave me the right
#2 What guns are you talking about? (That will be my standard reply)

See how easily those questions were answered :icon_thumright:

Now let me ask you 1 question.

How many from here will go to DC? A rough estimate is acceptable.

If and when it does happen we on this site maybe the only ones that hear about it. I'm sure it will be covered up with some bullst I'm sure they will photo opp it to show 10 maybe 15 guy's (and women) with their guns in the shape of sign poles that read (We all love the king)

Not sure how many on here live near DC. I'd guess, if say 6 lived within 40 miles and were here defending the 2nd and pro-gun, 2 would make it to DC.
Sorry, didn't mean to accuse you of having guns. :)

Thanks Packer, now we'll just have to wait for May 26th to get the final answer :icon_thumright: There are still many more just a few hours away and the odds are they will be no shows.

My money is probably on 1, but we'll never hear from them, so I'll go with zero

Given the number of people on this board we have talking about fighting a civil war to protect their second amend rights or laying down their lives to protect the second I don't think it's its too much of a stretch to think someone would take a trip to DC?? Or is all that talk just bluster?? im willing to die for my gun, but cant take a trip to dc - sounds a little suspect?? Don't you think?

Frankly I think if you don't go it should mean immediate expulsion from the wolf pack. How can you call yourself a true second amendment patriot? Or again is all that talk just hot air.

Again i say I'm sure of a news black out if it happens There was a march on D.C on Jan 25th (Not allowed to tell you why on this site) but there was close to 1/2 million young and old. Standing up for something they believe in. Can anyone remember the news talking about it?

I have to agree with you that it was not covered by the media in any meaningful way. Funny how anti war protest with a few hundreds or a few thousands of protesters get national news. I think the march you are referring to had hundreds of thousands if I'm not mistaken. I can't say I agree with the issue, but I do agree with your point that the media ignored a newsworthy event because they likely didnt agree with the politics / position. Did folks like fox cover it or did they ignore it also?

Can't say they did. read about it in a major local collage news paper.

A very valid point on media bias. Thanks for bringing that example to light.

Spart,

So are you still planning your tee shirt booth for the event????

packer,

Spart's a sneaky dude....me thinks he's a closet prepper.

Regards + HH

Bill

I never said I thought you were anti-gun. You appear to be more of a anti-gun worshipper and you appear to think that anyone who is a STAUNCH supporter of the 2nd as a macho-type gun slinger with a kill or die attitude. You make remarks hinting that, if we don't attend the pro-gun march on Washington we aren't serious about defending the 2nd or gun rights and personal defense in general. I guess every black man that didn't attend the so-called "Million Man March" could care less about their agendas also, right? I guess all blacks that didn't march with M L King on Washington could care less about their civil rights? You may have guns but, if you think that they can just take them away from you because they may be capable of firing more than one round or they "look" scary, you might as well turn them in now and, while you're at it, ask what religion they want you to be. Don't tell them what religion you want to be, if the Supreme Court says you have to be Catholic, by damn you're a Catholic, right?

I'm almost with you on this one, but maybe some are on a no-fly list for some reason and can't make the trip. It will be interesting to see the ones with the largest bark, may have no bite at all when it comes to giving their support. It's more of a Rah, Rah, Sis, Boom Ba, slap each other on the back, then actually doing anything constructive. Then again that is just my opinion.

Don't get me wrong either, there are a few that would have made the trip; Packer comes to mind and perhaps three or four others. They are the ones that are passionate, but slightly more rational when it comes to dealing with important issues.

It boils down to being the town crier, but only lacking the lung capacity to even blow a whistle. Yup they'll take 6 months to write a letter and another 3 months to choose a stamp, let's just leave out the search for the perfect envelope.

Yup, prob time for them to separate the sheeple from the real wolves!! Time for all progunners to stand and be counted.

Dang Spart, you're a hard man to figure. You post about how there are too many threads about gun control, you try to respond to all of them with attempts to discredit pro-gun people and now you are starting threads of your own with guns as the topic. What's up?

Packer, since it was a slow night for reading posts, I went back 7 pages to see how I replied. I have some interesting stats too. In the 7 pages there are just over 120 2nd amendment/gun posts, to which I replied to 10 of them. Maybe I left a few comments on each thread so for arguments sake I left maybe 40 replies.

Now let's look at the big picture. With each page holding 50 threads, I viewed 7 pages, or 350 threads and 120 were gun related. There were probably others there too that would have qualified, but since I didn't count them initially, I'm surely not going back to count them again :tongue3: By the looks of things just over 33%, but in actually, probably closer to 40% of the posts are gun related.

That being said, and since it is an important enough issue, it's time that guns got their own forum. I wonder if the powers that be would consider this, as it will also draw a larger crowd too :headbang:

Sounds like an old RUBBER ROOM forum...

And this forum hasn't transformed into that :dontknow: :laughing7:

No, it isn't rubber room, only reason 2nd is allowed is because owner said to allow 2nd amendment posts, all posts must be related to 2nd amendment.....

Spart, I totally agree with you. If ten million folks with or without firearms did show up, we may just get a new government that day. But it just ain't gonna happen. No parking, no place to stay, potential violence, possible thunderstorms, restaurants too expensive, GAS way too expensive, just can't afford it cause they need to buy ammo instead, out detecting that day, working down in the bottom of a gold mine, trains are too dangerous, planes cost too much, might run into Obama and the wife and kids and have to be nice cause we were raised that way. The list goes on. I have a cat and don't tell him, but he gets a bath that day...
