My hunting buddy found this button around some rubble from an old foundation. Anyone have any clues about its identification or date range? I couldn't get very clear close-up pictures, but the front of the button has a couple of flowers and maybe leaves as well below them. The back of the button has "RICH GOLD COLOR" around the shank. Thanks in advance for any information!

Thank you. We're trying to figure out if the area is worth the work it will take to detect it. It is VERY grown up. That date would definitely make it worthwhile!

Probably not as late as 1870s but circa 1830 would be close.
