Any info on this button. It's brass about the size of a nickel found in central Georgia .

My first thought was a saw medallion, then possibly a pistol grip medallion, then part of a snap or overalls button.

Are there threads inside the shaft on the back of the item?

Is there a hole in the shaft on the back of the item - for a set screw?

Could they possibly a drawer pull type knob ?

Very ornate. Nice find.
Maybe it is a small knob for a drawer or jewelry box.
