It took some years but my dad helped me fab up a gold trommel* in 9th grade.converted from 3 phase to a 65 hp Wisconsin engine. We ran it for a weekend and got 27 ounces with a 1602 permit from fish & game. MARIPOSA CALIFORNIA

What's a gold trimmer? 27 ounces in a weekend why did you stop?
Yikes my auto correct can be a real jerk sometimes! I meant trommel, my mistake. And I stopped due to property size but I have recently bought another property nearby that has the same values so I’m waiting on funds (among other things) to make the dream go again!

With 27 OZ. funds in your pocket you shouldn't be very low on funds! It sounds like your sitting on a Motherload ! GOOD LUCK !
Over $71,000 in a weekend seems you could find some investors. What happened to this guy.

Perhaps the permit expired for a limited time frame of work?

Section 1602 of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) code deals with permits – functioning more like a contract agreement – for altering steambeds and/or riparian habitats. Riparian zones are lands that occur along the edges of rivers, streams, lakes, and other water bodies.
