I found this bronze statue in a box of my fathers items that have been in storage for about 25 years by me and at least another 20 by my father.
As a teengaer I remember having it setting on a shelf in my room. I have spent many hours over the past 4 months asking people I know and researching the internet and all I know is it is solid cast bronze. Looks a like fisherman on the front? It would be nice to know the artist and what this represents, if anything. Anyone have any ideas? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nordic fertility statuette. Sometimes referred to as a "Steely Dan."

You are very astute. I will follow this lead as it makes the most sense to me at this time. Your time is appreciated. Thanks.

I have seen one like this before but it was made of some kind of plaster like material. They called it "Saint Peter" .
