BobCat attacks family

This is not a case of a rouge animal or rabies( I doubt), it's a wild animal plain n simple. It reacted out of fear not malice. Humans are the ones that act out of malice . Animals are more pure, they are instinctual. And it perceived a threat and panicked .

...true but some large predators(not Bobcats)do consider man as a viable source of protein

I have had all kinds of animals come through my farm. I raise fowl including chickens, ducks, geese and guineas. I free range my fowl. The first year we had coyotes come through and slowly take out our ducks and chickens. So I built up my fence. The second year my dogs killed alot of my chickens, they learned after a while not to do that. Then this last year everything was going well until fall and some foxs moved in and killed everything but my geese. One day they killed half and the next night they killed the rest. I killed one fox and my dogs killed another. This spring I have to start over. On a side note nothing seems to bother my geese.

That first year my wife was outside at the picnic table and it was starting to get dark out and a coyote came into my yard and they just stared at each other until my littlest dog spotted the coyote and my dogs chased it away. I hear them every night howling and my dogs barking and howling back.

WOW!!!!Not good!!!I went through the treatment,after I had the vaccine....not fun...and I was bit on the leg.......the face..yeo!!!!Could be fatal fast!!

This isn't good and no telling how many other animals around there have it?

Grandmother was bit by a fox, it was positive, she had to take the shots.
Pat(wife) was bit by opossum, it tested negative, no shots.

Yea,I despise needles is what made my "treatment",so horrible......long story short the head of the coyote that bit me(because I shot him)was conviently "lost",by the Med Tech. that took it to be tested and gave me a scolding on why I shot it....guess she did get the last laugh ....little b***h!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
