I used to collect coins and paper money as a teenager, but this is all I have left. (I'm 55 now.) I had forgotten all about it. I recently came across it again while rummaging through some old boxes in the attic. It was always my favorite bill so when I sold my collection at age 15 to buy my first car, a '65 mustang, I hung onto it. What a great serial number, too. Just thought y'all might enjoy seeing it.

The date on the bill; namely, Series of 1899, was not the year this bill was printed.
Actually, this bill was printed between Mar.24, 1915 and Nov.20, 1919; the term of Houston Benge Teehee when he was the Register of the Treasury.
This bill appears in excellent (Unc-60 or better)condition. As such, I'd guess its value today is between $500 and $600; IMO.
(Without that wild serial number, I'd guess the value would be about $50 to $100 less.)
Don.......

Correct Don, Teehee's tenure was much later. No one said or claimed it was printed in '99. The question was "Is there a date on those?"
