Hey everyone,

Thought I would share a few finds I have made over the past few months. This was the best winter in pa ever. I hunted basically through the whole winter. Things were slow for a minute there. But I got a tip on two really nice cellar holes in my neighborhood. I knew of 1 already that i hunted once last winter.

It was hunted already. But I was able to still pull out a few keepers. My son has been playing with the neighborhood kids alot. And about a week or so ago he was telling me about a bunch of broken shards of glass in the woods. He also told me he found a chinese cash coin there in the summer.

It peaked my interest because this woods is very large. Well we decided to go and look for the site. But first we started at the first foundation I knew of. While I was there a truck came by and a guy also proceeded to tell me about another foundation up in the woods not far away. So now I had two different people on the same day tell me about this site.

The guy also told me in the past some other guys had found some old coins back there. Once he left that was all I had to hear. This guy saying old coins this kid telling me he eye balled a chinese cash coin. I packed up at that moment and the rest tells it all. I found the site and just started ripping every single last signal out of the ground.

This hole gave up around 25 or 30 old coins including a nice 1878 seated quarter. Most hunters aren't me. So they must of not had a good unit or didn't know how to hunt. Because they left me a ton. Got some other holes lined up to go and track down. I go in and out with the types of sites I hunt.

I am getting back into foundation hunting over the next few months. Thanls for looking hope you all like the finds.

HH Jer

Great bunch of finds, I like you and Merf's cumulative posts.. I might follow suit in the future

Thanks alot everyone I appreciate all the replies.

Yeah I do more build up post instead of showing you guys the days I find like 1 barber dime in two hrs. I don't always go out and find hoards of coins. Not all of these finds came from the foundation site. I pulled about 15 silvers out of the parks and ball fields also. About half the relics are from the old home sites. The rest from other places.

The day I was hunting it I stayed till almost dark. I had a seated quarter and more. It was hard to go home. But my house is only 300 maybe 400 yards away. But I was thinking about the site when I wasn't hunting it. My problem is I can clean a site out so fast it is unreal. I spend about 12 hrs or so on the site and cleaned it out pretty much.

Now I gotta go find more. That is the hard part nowadays. I am in the city so it is hard. gas is through the roof so I don't wanna make 50 to 60 mile trips to find sites.

The silver item with the horses I think was part of a pocket watch cover. I found a nice solid sterling pocket watch case with horses engraved on it. So I assume they had money these people and had a few sterling watches.

The club head is old. I am not sure of the make. There is something written on it. But I am not sure what is says exactly.

Thanks for looking again

Jeremy

Wow u hit the mother load. Great assortment of treasure there

Great finds. All from 2012? You must either have some really good honey holes or a lot of time to hunt, or both? Hope it continues for you. HH :laughing7:

Thanks alot everyone.

Yes, It appears to be some kind of railroad key. A nice one at that. It was probably my best find of that day. It was picked up at a old park.

I don't hunt as much as you all may think. I have a full time job. And a few days a week I will get out for 2 or 3 hrs. These finds are over a 2 month span. Jan and Feb. I just have some good areas to hunt. And not to brag but I feel I have alot of skill. I have 18 yrs exp and over 10,000 hrs in the field.

These factors I think give me a edge on most of the other hunters in my city. I hit alot of sites that have been pounded over the yrs and still pull out keepers. Finding good sites is getting harder every yr.

Thanks again everyone

Can you see anything on the key? If it is a RR key, the initials of the rr should be stamped in it. Example: "SOU. RY."

I'm enjoying your wonderful finds for the THIRD time, every day since posted! Wow! As a horse lover, my faves are the silver horse and buggy and the lovely horse running free on the watch cover.

If you're not already doing it, I advise you to ask more homeowners for permission to hunt their yards. If you're as friendly and low-key in person as you are in your posts, you'll probably get permission to hunt where some others may be turned down! That way, plenty more untouched older yards for you to hunt in your town without the expense of gas for long trips out of town. This advice from a one-year newbie who's been sticking to beaches and parks --- so far I'm chicken to talk to homeowners as I don't want to hear a "no" and somehow can't get over feeling that knocking on their doors invades their privacy. But when I'm done with beach, park & tot lot, gotta get my nerve up to ask. One particular very old house and yard have been beckoning me the whole year I've been detecting, lol. Happy hunting days to all! Andi

Stellar Finds Jer :o :o :o :o so many goodies it makes my brain dizzy & foggy :D dawg

Man what a rich site, whoever lived there had money to have that many coins and artifacts laying about. Great recovery

Nice hunt, but did you find any keepers? ::) ::) Just kidding! If you found all that stuff in one general area, I'll bet you still have some hunting to do there. Very nice indeed! Monty
