Last week they started a street tear-out here. Finds have been scarce. But the rain last night exposed the biggest marble I?ve found. Also dug a crusty war nickel, wheatie and a Chuckie Cheese Hotwheels tonight.

Looks like a Alley Agate shooter, late 1930s to 1940s. Nice find!

Awesome marble!!!

Nice!!! Congrats!!! You'd definitely feel that one if someone was to accidentally hit You with it!!!

It looks like a 44 but it’s hard to see because it’s so crusty!

The freshly stirred dirt at the street gave up a Cub Scouts Neckerchief slide today.

massive marble, very cool

Pull-outs and road changes are a great places to get goodies - virtual time capsules,
but you GOT to be there when it happens, a small window of opportunity to get in after their hours...!
I did one sidewalk pull-out, next to main intersection, in town.
I managed a Mercury Dime and an old center-fire (1880's) shell....
A one-day-only-type-of-hunt...!

Yeah for sure! I do my best to follow the local street projects and sidewalk replacements. My city publishes a list of street projects with start dates. I keep an eye out for when they break ground!

Love old marbles! :icon_thumleft:
