Best Three Years ..Finds/Displays/Displays to Build Updated 12/6/12...

Folks it's going on three years for me now & with time has come change.Since I've moved to our new home I've been trying to get my stuff set up this time with a little description. When time allows I work on it.I'm getting close but still have a few more displays I would like to build those being my....... favorites/finds,indian pottery,& bottles shown at the begining of this post.My latest was a colonial shard display which once I got into it found out I had to cut it short just to much of it for me & would not leave me no room for others. :( Anyway here's how it's going...enjoy.
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:

Wanted to share this documentary about Colonial N.C.. I really enjoyed it & it explains alot about the region here on the coast.Really sums up what I've come to learn about my area in a Movie/ Video.Really brings it to life when you've been & found these sites such as mentioned

Outstanding collection of early artifacts!!!

You have an amazing assortment of finds spanning a wide period of time. And I really like how you have them displayed. I thoroughly enjoyed checking out all the pics as I have a special interest in colonial relics. Congrats on an awesome display of our early history. And hope you can add to it soon ..... Bill

So Pete, I would like to know, do you take time to sleep? Man what a collection and from my meager collection I can appreciate all that you have there and all the research you've put into all that you've found, you've put your heart into your "hobby"!!

I started detecting in California, first were coins and then as I backpack a lot I started exploring the mountains, side canyons, streams and the like and then began prospecting and still use a detector for prospecting. I've come across old plates, mine carts, machines for drilling holes for explosives, some gold nuggets but the piece I appreciate the most is the 4" monitor nozzle I found in the late 60's. If it could only talk! Many years later I realized the area I found the nozzle in was associated with the "Blue Lead" placer deposit, a very rich deposit with blue mineralization on or near the bedrock where the Large nuggets were.

All of the finds are interesting with a few being thrilling so I would guess you detect for the "BUZZ" you get and maybe that is why you detect so much, grin. Thank you for sharing your wonderful finds/displays......63bkpkr

I think that finds are more or less not so special or valuable but every artifact have own history and story to tell... Im not so impressed with your finds but way you keep them and presenting them is extraordinary and im wondering... you have your own museum? :notworthy: :occasion14:

Im completely at awe... Your collection is better than all of which is in my local museum here in charleston sc

Very nice collection. Who does the dusting around your house?

Amazing collection, epic is the word I'm looking for.The displays are awesome.
