Like the two headed lion buckle. Do you know the approx. date? They can be very close in design even if dating many years apart.

Here's mine so far, but most are broken :(

Don't know the exact date.It isn't a War Navy WW2 one.(1938 naval dagger)

I think it belongs to a officers sword,WW1.

This is at least my most unusual button and

rather hard to come by. Union Drummer boy buckle found at Brandy Station March 2008

My best buckle is this circa 1600's Spectacle buckle, which is pretty rare on this side of the big pond. Breezie

Heres mine. Not my oldest but my favorite that I have. My guess would be that it is from the 50's or 60's.

I think both get back there pretty good. The first one does look like something I'd expect to dig at our early French sites. Only problem is most are in pieces.

I'd be way more excited seeing it in the dirt before knowing what it was, but would still be happy with the find. Pretty good display material!

Yep, when I pulled it out of the ground I said out loud " What the *#$! is that?"
I posted it here a few years ago but with little replies. Then an American found one a year later and everyone went wild! People will have to start realizing that us Canadians will find some pretty cool American stuff out here. I know I would be excited to see an American post a cool Canadian find.
I still do not know anything about this presidential buckle thingy that has 13 stars. Any insight would be appreciated.
Dave.
