Today after family time I headed out not knowing where to go. I've had my equinox out to modern school grounds learning sounds and digging different signals. Today I decided on going to an early 1900's church I've been over numerous times along with a hunting buddy.

My first signal after noise cancel was a wheat penny. I dug a handful of wheaties and a couple zincolns and then I got a broken but repeatable high tone along the front sidewalk. After cutting the plug and pinpointing in the hole one scoop and out pops big shiny....a Barber quarter! 1916. After more wheats and zinc pennies I dug what I thought would be another zinc judging by the numbers. To my surprise I saw one dime! 1909 Barber dime....

Now I'm all giddy because I've been here so many times and I'm wondering what else could be here...
A few holes later I got another zinc penny signal and about 8 inches down was something round...and green. At first I thought a button but after a wipe I saw a left facing bust. Yes! Got a copper! After a toothpick swipe it ends up being holed too. It has flowers on the back so I guess it's not a KG2 but a possible British half penny?

My last good find was about 9" deep and is some kind of presidential copper plate. Dated 1904. Roosevelt/Fairbanks.

This was one of my best hunts in a long time. The wife said I've been in a good mood...lol! Thanks for looking and good luck to everyone.

sideways is better than upside down LOL. very nice for sure, congrats on all of it. pretty sweet when pennies turn into silver!

Great job! 🙌 Nice variety of finds. 😁

So I take it you are now a superfan of the Equinox??? lol Keep 'em coming!!!!

Those Barbers are in great shape. The KG is a cool find in W PA. The Roosevelt Fairbanks piece looks like a railroad baggage tag, but someone will provide a better ID. Do you think the Equinox pulled these where your other detectors fell short? Congrats!!

Awesome early silvers, and nice copper, it looks like an 1860's Italian 5 or 10 Centesimi of Vittorio Emanuele II. Awesome finds, I would kill for a day like that!

Dang, what a hunt indeed! Great keepers. Makes you wonder how much more is even there that you can't get with the Equinox that some new technology will nab in 10 years.

Lol, it is definitely growing on me!

Thanks Thad. I thing you're right about the tag. This church is right along RR tracks too. As far as the equinox unmasking what others couldn't I know for a fact this was the case this hunt. These strips of grass are smaller in size and easy to grid every inch. There has been an f75 with multiple coils, tesoro tejon and an max over this prior. This was a short hunt and honestly the way I was popping wheats it was like it was never hunted. Don't want to sound like a fan boy but gotta tell it like it is!

Thanks a million for the ID! The wife and I were all over the net looking at brittish coppers....lol!

Great hunt John! Congrats on the Barbers and the Baggage Tag is actually a Watch Fob for the 1904 presidential election.
