I second the Deleon!!! It is light weight and loves coins. The Lifetime Warranty doesn't hurt any either. Tesoro makes great detectors and I have found plenty of pennies at 8in or even deeper. I know I have found dimes at 9in plus. Just take the time to learn your machine and u will love it regardless of the brand you choose. Good Luck

I'd say MXT or a used detector some can get cheap...
Depends on if you want analog or digital.

I just got a Garrett Scorpion a few weeks ago it is a great coin & jewlery detector. I really like it it is a much over looked detector.........
