Welcome Mud Dog Mandy - Sweet Find! :occasion14:

What would be the time period of these 3 be? Thank you

Very cool. I have no info. and quite honestly I'm not sure there is much to learn other than it's just a decorative wax seal.

Here's mine.....

Ahh I got nothing!

Posted this in Today's Finds just a couple days ago and another member told me about this thread, so here I am. I found one matrix frame in June 2016 that had no bezel ring. I found a second at the same site two weeks ago. That one had the bezel ring, but no seal stone. I went back to the same site the day after Thanksgiving and found the seal stone, still mounted in the bezel ring, to the first frame I dug in June. With some tender loving care, I was able to clean and remount the seal in the first frame. Here are a few pics.

Found in June 2016:

Seal and bezel ring found Nov 25th, 2016

It is a double sided seal, a lion on one side, a bust on the other. Here it is remounted in the first frame:

I marked the site where I found the second frame. I plan to go back in the near future and try my hand at sifting!

I have only dug 2. here they are

I thought I had added mine to the thread but here it is. Cracked but appears to contain initials

My son this spring found two in one hole, which is not done too often to my knowledge, one squished and missing the stone and the other one is intact, they were his first two after almost 30 years of detecting.

The middle one is similar to a crushed one I found several years back, but mine appears to be an 1812 Artillery regiment seal.

Never dug one but a friend dug one t feet away from me. I'm still envious.

1812 Artillery Officer's wax seal found near several different regiment buttons.
