No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth! Just been way too busy after vacation!

So I got permission to hunt a place I've had my eye on for quite a while. Forecast called for rain but the evening was too nice to not take the chance with the weather. Glad I did.

The house on this land dates back to circa 1870.

I dug a total of 57 coins... 32 Memorials (many from late 50's and early 60's), 2 Jefferson Nickels (1955 and 1964), 8 clad Roosevelts, and 4 clad Washingtons.

Wait... that only equals 46 coins!

I forgot to mention 7 Wheat Pennies (oldest thus far is 1917 - these are very crudded up and need to soak a while), along with 2 silver Washingtons (1959D that is in INCREDIBLE shape and a 1944), a 1959D Roosevelt, and a worn 1914 Barber Dime!

Along the hunt and all in one hole I discovered 3 old bus tokens from days gone by. The Green Line bus service was decommissioned in 1972. These tokens (to the best of my knoweldge) were used during the late 1950's into 1960's. In the hole with these tokens was a 1964 Jefferson nickel and 50 something wheat penny.

By far, I consider this the most productive day of hunting I've had. I spent about 2 hours hunting and really didn't get to cover too much ground due to all the digging.

Still a lot of ground to cover at this place. It's close by so I have yet another good spot to utilize over the summer/fall.

Off to a nice start!
