I found this rock near a few more it’s not metal close to a 1840s cabin any ideas and if it’s old?
 

My first thought was grinding (sharpening) wheel, but those usually have a center hole.

Agreed concrete core. I can see the aggregate in it.

But I do have a hand sharpening stone with the same shape. It's a bit smaller than than the core shown. It is particularly useful for sharpening chisels and knives using a circular motion on the flat surfaces. It belonged to my Dad in the mid 1900s and I still use it.
