Went to another park with T-bucket for a couple hrs on Sat. Found a nice Barber Dime and the 1916 Merc, sorry folks no D or at least you can't tell too worn. Also found the childs silver ring marked sterling, really iffy signal and deep, but had a hint of a nice tone next to a bigger target. The 1899 and 1907 Indians cleaned up pretty well for our soil. Also added the wheats, another 1919, to 1947. Thanks for looking.

Dug the exact same condition 1916 Merc that you did. I just assume that it's a 1916-D, and the detecting Gods once again, have a sense of humor.

Thanks CurbdiggerCarl, That's exactly what I told T-bucket. It's a D, Just wore off. HA HA

Sweet coins! And that is a really cool ring. Great work there.
Thanks time4me, the ring even has a small crack it it. Really tough signal.

Nice finds. You guys are really on a roll there in S. ILL.
Thanks waseeker, The pro coil I got for my SE a little while ago is really doing a great job in the heavily hunted parks we are hitting.

I got my pro coil about a month ago and really like it. only 3 silver so far but haven't got to hunt a lot. am looking forward to more finds
My finds were pretty slow with it at first also. Just need to dig all those high tones, no matter what they read or if they are one way signal. T-bucket helped me out alot with this.

Sweet , sweet, sweet finds. The barber, WOW.

I could be mistaken but I thought I've read that any 1916 merc., no matter the condition,
is highly sought after.

Good luck,
HH.
