Went to another park with T-bucket for a couple hrs on Sat. Found a nice Barber Dime and the 1916 Merc, sorry folks no D or at least you can't tell too worn. Also found the childs silver ring marked sterling, really iffy signal and deep, but had a hint of a nice tone next to a bigger target. The 1899 and 1907 Indians cleaned up pretty well for our soil. Also added the wheats, another 1919, to 1947. Thanks for looking.

nice finds.I bet your heart just about jumped out of your body when you seen that it was a 1916 i bet you was a little scared to look at the back for the mint mark.Anyway almost the queen of the merc's.Keep hunting that spot you never know you just might find the queen. The rest of the stuff are also great finds.

That Merc is well-worn, but still gorgeous! :) Your superb Barber more than makes up for it. What a coin! Throw in some nice IH's and wheats - what a hunt! Congrats!
Thanks Kimsdad, It was great seeing the barber pop out of the hole.

That's quite a contrast. The Merc is all worn to the nubs and the 1910 Barber is a true beauty, nice diggin all the way around!
Thanks Mojo, the Merc does'nt hold a candle to the barber, but I'll take both.

Thanks fortbball9, I flicked off enough dirt when it came out to see 1916 and stopped right there. Cleaning at home and no D, pretty worn reverse side.

Dug the exact same condition 1916 Merc that you did. I just assume that it's a 1916-D, and the detecting Gods once again, have a sense of humor.

Thanks time4me, the ring even has a small crack it it. Really tough signal.

Nice finds. You guys are really on a roll there in S. ILL.
Thanks waseeker, The pro coil I got for my SE a little while ago is really doing a great job in the heavily hunted parks we are hitting.

Think that barber would never draw attention of being dug...Very nice
