Back From DIV (Diggin' in Virginia) and LOTS of CIV WAR items; U.S. Plate, etc.

Hello to all my friends out there in TreasureNet land. These are my finds from DIV this past weekend and I got to tell you it was a great time and was a chance to meet up with old friends and make some new ones. Todd and Dave Cooper were two of those. Thanks guys for the hospitality! The belt plate was found at the LAST MINUTE almost literally. It was at about 5PM on the last day of the hunt! Besides that I got a nice early Large Cent, belt plate keeper, bayonet scabbard tip, button back, button with "Engineer" stamped on it with a locomotive below and several other goodies. Hope y'all like and keep your hands a diggin' for that next great find

Looks like a terrific outing with outstanding results.Great finds! How was the turnout for the DIV?

We had a great turnout, had several people all the way from Washington, Canada, and a Congressman from Texas....Probably three hundred or more folks

Let your bird marinated in a splash of Olive Oil ~ Sage ~ Cracked Black Pepper ~ Garlic ... I go for a good 6 hours ...

Grill your bird about 2/3rds done & fire up the oven 375...

On the stove reduce down 1 cup white wine ~ 1 cup chicken stock ~ 1/4 cup lemon juice ~ 2 tablespoon UNSALTED BUTTER ...

Once reduced pour over bird & bake till juices run clear ...

Serve with raspberry (optional) as garnish (along with sage of course) ...

It works for quail & squab too ...

HAHAHA Well, I DO have some of my other plates like that as you know from my avatar.....but for the sake of getting a good decent photo to turn into DIV, I left it rightside up. Good to hear from you. How are you doing? PM me when you get a chance, wanted to ask you something
