Bit late with todays results because Himself found this little coin today and weve been in shock😂its a Celtic coin of the The Corieltauvi. South Ferriby Type dating from circa 10-20 AD Obverse: Stylised horse

In other news… i found a hammered… some bits of crotal bell, a tiny pretty button, a pendant, buttons and a little brooch (?) 2 pot mends a couple of other bits that i havent id yet …

Absolutely mind blowing to have found a coin that pre dates the Roman occupation…. And while he found it… i take credit for choosing the field!!! 😂😂 xx

Well send a huge congratulations to himself.
I can't imagine how big the head must be now from finding a beautiful pony!
Well done on the Hammie, and the silver button.
Now I did say something yellow was coming along. (Your turn now.🫰)
Where there 1 there usually another lurking

Love it!

Congrats to the team on your first Celtic Coin.
First thing, where there is a Celtic Silver Unit there is normally a Celtic Gold & if that isn't enough to get you to do a large area grid, then there is no hope. Although that tribe seems to trade with quite a few plated versions, so you may get a copper-core Stater.

The heavily clipped Hammered Penny, has some clues to narrow it down (don't have time to research, going out soon) - Annulets at neck on Obv, & 2 Annulets in 2 quarters of reverse.

Roman Disc Brooch 2nd-3rd C after hammered
Then looks like part of a Roman Military Buckle (Dolphin Type - 3-4th C)
16th C Sword Belt Hanger
18th C Silver Cufflink.

Great day out & now start the gridding.
