You can shut the barn door now! I will quit bragging about how nice the weather is here in OK for winter detecting! All the weather maps show an Arctic blast coming down from the Dakotas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and points north. I awoke to 19 degrees this morning, only about 40 degrees below normal. So, please close the barn door and let me thaw out! I haven't been able to get out metal detecting in a week. The high yesterday was 31 degrees with about a 20 mph wind from the north! C'mon now, give me a break! Please? Monty

Not quite that much here in Indy last night, they say we got 7.5"...
But, I think your right about it being Monty's fault. I'm thinking he snuck up north somewhere and is just standing there with the door open... I got the car and the walk cleared off, hopefully the wind doesn't cover them back over.

Gypsyheart, that looks like the "Polar Bear Club" at Harriet Island on the Mississippi River at St. Paul, MN. Looks like the capitol building in the background. I know they have some kind of ritual every winter when they dive into the icy waters.
If you "whiners" think it is cold now..........................WHAT are you going to do when Winter comes. It won't officially be here for another week. And that white stuff, that's not snow, its SOLID Sunshine ! LOL In the immortal words of former Viking coach, Bud Grant........................There's no such thing as COLD............COLD is just a state of mind ! ! !
