You can shut the barn door now! I will quit bragging about how nice the weather is here in OK for winter detecting! All the weather maps show an Arctic blast coming down from the Dakotas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and points north. I awoke to 19 degrees this morning, only about 40 degrees below normal. So, please close the barn door and let me thaw out! I haven't been able to get out metal detecting in a week. The high yesterday was 31 degrees with about a 20 mph wind from the north! C'mon now, give me a break! Please? Monty

Hey Monty - I agree it is cold in Oklahoma. Here I sit with two new homesites to detect and a new Sunray in-line probe being delivered tomorrow and the low tonight is going to be 12 degrees! Not only that, but it is dry, dry, dry!!! Most of the snow is missing us and three months with no measurable percipitation. I'll probably forget everything I know by the time I get back out. Why don't you give me a shout when the weather improves and we can do some hunting together? I am in the phone book under Colin Smith.

its gotten cold here in delaware as well. we got 3 inches of snow monday nite with 6 more forcast for fri! it hasnr gotten out of the 20s all week. im afraid the season is officially over.

Ok, enough! Now I am getting PO'd! It was 2 degrees here just a few minutes ago, a new record low for this date. I took my dog out to pee and had to break off icecycles before I could bring her back in! I have begged and pleaded for you guys to shut the door to no avail. Don't make me come up there! (To warm up!). My wife is coming home from Seattle tomorrow night and she was afraid of the cold weather up there! Now I don't know if she wants to come home! My heating system was designed for temps in the low 20s max and it's working overtime just to keep it in the 60s inside the house! Talk about the cost of heating! I use natural gas and the cost is up 60% from last year. I may be sleeping in the homeless shelter after I pay this month's bill! Help! Monty

PS.....The weather man just said it would be near 60 Sunday! Nuts!

this morning SO FAR, EXACTLY 1 FOOT of snow

Tracks on Sidewalk lead From Neighbors house to Under My car.
Looks like Something is Using my JIMMY for an Igloo.
I hope he dosn't crawl up into My Engine Compartment, for warmth.
I had 2 kittens do that once. I didn't know it till I heard the FAN make a
CHOPPING sound. and saw Fur Pop up through the sides of the? Hood.
I need to Remember to Look first tomorrow.

Upper 30's tomorrow & Sunday IF the Snow Cover dosn't keep it colder.

I'm not even going to Pick up a snow Shovel till Tomorrow.
