When looking at this painting on the bottom left is what appears to be not like the surrounding painted area in that the colours 3 or 4 are different ( more white) and stand out. I am unsure if this is an artist signature meant to be unseeable or or nearly impossible to see and so subtle, slight, or gradual as to be barely perceptible. Or is this simply just part of the painting as is? All thoughts welcome .... Thanks in advance.

It's nicely done.

There seem to be multiple variations on this scene: some impasto like yours and some not; some with mirror-imaged parts versus yours; some with steps in the foreground and some not, as well as numerous other differences in the details of the buildings included.

This one signed ‘DIAL’:

This one signed ‘Gisbert’:

[Ostensibly the German artist Gisbert Fluggen (1811-1859)]

This one signed ‘Javier Pascuale’:

And multiple variations here, all signed ‘Juan Pascal’

[Ostensibly the Spanish artist Juan Pascual Gimeno (1894-1988)]

I can’t read any signature on yours. I’m far from convinced that the examples above are all from the claimed artists and think that most of them are commercial studio works as wall-art using signatures intended to evoke memory of actual artists with similar names.

I think it's DIAZ.
I can't find the artist online, just Diaz painting service all over the USA. I guess I'm a racist. And that's ok.

The first one I referenced above was said to be signed 'DIAL', but I suppose it might be 'DIAZ':

Clearly an "L" on that one. And all the letters are clear to read. The only clear letter to me on the OPs post is "Z".
The first 3 are hard to see but guessing DIAZ

Thanks to all for your replies and for "Dial" and Diaz" which I did not see that.
Red-Coat's first link with the artist DIAL is so close to the same style and composition and general makeup that
more research on my part is needed....

Thanks again & all the best in this New Year..
