Aquanuts Friends

Re: Aquanut's Friends

Again I say thanks to all of you. Diver Lynn, thanks, but there will only be one "Pegleg". As you know, Don Webb was one of a kind and I'll never be the one to be able to fill his shoes. Between his dreams and his great heart, his openess and sharing, he taught me that the adventure of treasure hunting far outweighs the actual discovery and cash reward.

Jim, I'm glad to hear about your 'Poster Child".

Ed, what can you expect from a 62 year old?

Re: Aquanut's Friends

:hello2: Ahoy John, As you know I have had both knees done. The pain was unbearable before the Surgeries and gone within a short time. That was back in the early 80's. Now days the proceedure is faster and better. Even then I was up and around in short order. Maybe short isn't a good word. I'm still just as tall. It's 227 years later and I still get around pretty good. But do listen to the sawbones. If he says to start therapy with 2 or 3 pounds don't work with 25. I did that and paid the price. Listen to them and you will be up and about in no time.

Sherene is up in Panama City Beach. I'm going up to get her in a week or so and we will stop by on the way home. The boat is almost done and the dink is very fast. Fast enough to catch lots of fish and run down treasure.

Good Luck and let us know if we can do anything for you.

Russ, Sherene & Atty

Re: Aquanut's Friends

:tongue3: Just some rummy who was trying to get his hand on my bottle of Morgan! :laughing9: See Y'All! :hello2: The Goils likes me hat! Arrgh! when I says, "Shivver Me Timbers" they does Funny things! One says she wants to polish me Hook. Hummmmmm?

Re: Aquanut's Friends

Aquanut, good luck with the surgery. Last time I had knee surgery by Namath's DR., he said I could go home when I could lift my foot off the bed, that took 10 days! Recovery is much better today though. My 82 YO Aunt had it done and was dancing a month later. I will be needing one before too long, so I have to go find lots of treasure to pay for it...ugh.

Re: Aquanut's Friends

Aquanut, Best of Luck!

One of my buds was walking tolerable in a week, pain free in two. Hope ya got a good doc.

PS: Hope you can still detect with your metal knee ;D

Re: Aquanut's Friends

Bum Luck,
I think I've got a good Doc, but I never considered the ramifications a Titanium Knee would have on my treasure hunting with a metal detector! LOL.

Re: Aquanut's Friends

:laughing9: Just think of all the fun you will have at the airport! :laughing9: :headbang:

Re: Aquanut's Friends

Best of luck John for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. It's no fun recouperating and reading about everyone else's treasure finds. That hurts more then the therapy will.

Re: Aquanut's Friends

John, good luck with the surgery, and speedy recovery!

My buddy sells those knees, hips and elbows, plus trauma equipment....he says a lot of the doctors in Florida are some of the best at the surgeries....I guess they get a lot of practice, what with Florida being a popular retirement destination!

Re: Aquanut's Friends

Well Guys, My surgeon does have lot of practice on old people but I can't afford to retire, so I'm having the surgery so I can keep "goin' for the gold!"
