Whites DFX, Minelabs E-Trac
The ground finally thawed at the beginning of April and I was able to start usning a Minelabs E-trac instead of my DFX. I am rehunting some of the more productive places I hunted before and had a pretty good month for keepers. Thanks for looking.

nice find if that's a 1901s dime i see it's a semi-key date and worth some money
MikefromIllinois,
That 1901-S Barber dime has some of the best detail of any Barber I have ever found. I found it yesterday while detecting at at thte Kalispell County Fairground. That place has been pounded for many years. This dime came up from almost 10 inches and had a large rusty safety pin right below it. It gave of a very rough signal, but was intermittantly repeatable from a couple of directions. It takes forever to dig up something that deep in the compacted soil of a fairground, but this time it was worth it. I think that it could be worth several hundred dollars based on the condition it is in and the scarcity of the mintage.

So how do you clean your coins? they are awesome

Wow that is some good hunting.
I like the way you have the pictures layed out all nice and organized.
Good job!

Awsome finds. I hunt Kalispell 2 or3 times a week. If you see me stop and say hi. Im hard to miss at 6 foot 7 and 300 pound.

Those are nice coins, but the best find BY FAR is the saloon token.

Keep up the good work,

Buckles

Great finds. E-trac keeps on impressing me. Learning the DFX now, but keep thinking I should of went with a MineLab. I sure like those fluttie deep signals.

I am trying to do some research on the saloon token. I found an article in a Montana newspaper from July 25, 1909 about a George Cyr that had owned a saloon on West Front Street in Missoula Montana. The article told about the city council having voted to revoke his liquor license because he had been selling liquor to the local Indians. I am not positive that this is the same saloon, but it is likely since I found the token in Missoula. I have not been able to find any other tokens like it anywere on the internet, so it may be very rare.

Mam o man April was good to you!
Can't wait to see Mays finds!
Congrats!
