I'm late to the thread, but I would sincerely advise you to get a bigger shovel. I labored for years thinking a bigger shovel would be too cumbersome. I was wrong. It's not as difficult to haul around, and it cuts down on the time it takes to dig deep signals by more than half.

Yeah I'm seriously thinking about getting the relic hunter. Although today I could have used a jack hammer.

Well this storm put the kibosh on me getting out today. I think I'll have my wife hide my vast collection of bottle caps around the house and see if I can find them instead.
