Anyone got the blues?

I'm having a little difficulty classifying this one, but I think it'll fit here.

Sweet spot

Really like this one.

What passes for love.

Ok Sidevalve, where ya been all my life! :laughing7:
We just don't get THIS in S. Florida! just trust me on that one...... :notworthy: Thanks, LOL.

Which reminds me of a story. Bout midnight:30, phone rings,
I hear "Helllllp, Hellllllp".
I'm like, "Neighbor whats wrong"?
"Get Dan up, hellllpppp".......... "Well, he's sleeping, can I help"?

"I've fallen over in the driveway with the bike and I can't get up, helllllppp"

OH DOG OH DOG OH DOG **goes running with phone**

Me: "Is it burning yet"? :BangHead:

"Not yet, HURRY"

:laughing7:

Jeff, I hope your guy(s) won, I guess someone knows who won :icon_scratch:
Ya'll know, I'm worried about this, now..... :laughing7:

Anywhooo.... So glad to be of the dirt, mystery how that stuff bleeds, :dontknow:
as I still try to keep, about 4 inches above it..... :notworthy:

Here's ya some, I guess we could call it swamp blues. A dear good friend, lived this song in the glades, hunt camp and all, his parents, grandparents forged Florida and was the last to own Torey Island. His gdad and dad traveled many trips with the barefoot postman up and down our east coast.
His wife, lived amongst the Indians, brought to the Glades from the Alabama plantations, by her parents, back in the 40's or so. Everyone slept in a hammock under a chiki-hut, lived, hunt, fished, played, loved.....
The words to this song, was actually written by this mans daughter, out at college in Calif. The words are poignant, for me, just another, native....... (native what, eh, the jury's still out on that one.....) :laughing7:

We layed my friend Pete down, to this song. (NOT performed by ja, but even more beautiful).

Some are so afraid of dying, they're scared to live. Here's to those of us, that live(d) it, in spite of the fear! :occasion14: :notworthy:

Hey P-Cat:
I read Forever Island when it was released. It's author had a good grasp on the area it seems and conveyed some of what was goin on.
A damn fine tale I heartily recommend and has been remembered whenever Seminoles or a younger Florida comes up..
Seminole Wind compliments it just fine.

All About Patrick Smith - A Florida Treasure

Edit...Ooops forgot to add a tune.:occasion14:

I have not seen TTB since the release of this newest album, but you can bet your bottom dollar I will, Good Lord Willing!

Johnnie Johnson

Tanqueray

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I like the piano in it. You can't help but tap your toes with the beat.

I'm glad to hear you like them. I have to say the music I post here is all stuff that I've found on this internet radio station called Aardvark Blues FM which is the best station I've ever listened to and it's commercial free. You need to check it out you won't be disappointed. kbrazinternetradio

Thanks,

Folks,

Here's an oldie for you....I saw these guys in the late 1960's at a little joint in Montreal.

I like that station (Aardvark Blues FM)
Years ago I found an XM/Sirius system at a garage sale, was told...you need to subscribe to the service...you can have it.
Turns out someone had purchased a lifetime subscription, it still works! All channels/stations. I would tune into the blues section, write down new songs and artists that I liked, but did not know. I'm STILL finding new music!
