Anyone else have this happen?

Every time I go to the thrift shop in town the same dude is on the register and I always get at least half price. Sometimes even more. Paid 10 cents for some $1 knives. Anyone else have stuff like this happen?

He thinks you're cute! And I say that jokingly however not really. I hope that's not the case but I don't know anymore these days. Or he gets paid minimum-wage doesn't care about his job. That's my two cents. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I've been to this one thrift store probably five times talked to the manager nothing ever really came of it. I lost my wedding ring at the 1 time and I go in there all of a sudden the manager comes up to me and asked if I want to buy any scrap gold. And now he calls me on a regular basis to buy all their scrap gold. So now I never wear my ring in there because I'm not sure if he gave me this opportunity because he thinks I'm cute or just because. I don't know... I don't want to ask either So I just kind of let it flow... I don't want to lose my extra income. I'm probably going to hell for this.... I also understand if no one wants to talk to me again...!

Beach, why would you think you're going to hell for that? If that's all it takes to be damned to hell, then we're ALL in a world of hurt!

Personally, I'd say that the manager also knows a good thing when he sees it - like having a customer who will quickly buy up his "scrap"! He may not care to keep it around the store much. Maybe he has little interest in the scrap. In any case, you're a proven money-maker and a good, well-established customer to him. Keep up the good work!

Theres a large local thrift store in town, I buy wholesale, fill my truck and trailer twice a month. With scrap metal and other stuff. I get stuff before it even hits the floor. It does happen.
