Anyone detect Cocoa Beach lately?

I was there Sunday, low tide, west wind, for about 1 1/2 hours, just south of Coconuts.

Found a pair of sunglasses, about 50 pop tops, a dime, and three homeless people drinking beer in the dunes!

lol.....you did better than I did!

i found a human vertebra bone there a couple months ago.its heavy and cool looking... but lately nothing much, i am thinking of going to sebastian beach to see what i can get there, especially after all of the hurricanes

Haven't yet. With all the beach sand that the govt is doing I just avoid the beaches for now until a good storm.

And once again they have set up their tables in front of the library showing how it is going to be $1.5mil., for section of beach, $1.6mil., for section of another beach, and $1.5mil., again for another section of beach. They plan to repave the beach withoff shore sand to a distance of 60 meters into the water.

I found a Smith/Wesson SpecialOps Combat Knife at Minuteman Cswy.. a month ago. w/gmhcx3. Sold it for $6.

Teaklord finds nice jewelery there a lot, he hunts it often.

I was at Melbourn and Sabastian Inlet this past week.
In 8 days I found $121.43 in new coinage.
I found three pieces of steel that appears to be old blade metal about 18 inches deep in wet sand.
a gold chain 16 inches long (not old).
Can't detect in the surf due to claim trespassing (you now the Mel Fishers of the world have it all bought-up)
You know, they could give us 50 foot of the surf!

Anyway, not to bad for a week in the rain :)

I used the Minelab X-Terra 70 with a ZipLoc baggie over the electronics.
Getting the Excalibur II in a month and going back in Nov - Dec.

I'm going down in a week. I can tell you the gold is alot closer to the dunes than people want you to know. When a hurricane hits and the wooden vessels are slammed on 'shore'..the gold drops straight down. I'll let you know how much gold I find..but not where I find it.
Thanks for posting.

Unfortunately with all the renourishment projects that went on south of Daytona, everything is burried under many feet of sand.
