Hey guys & gals I picked this up Sunday at a yard sale right outside of Austin Texas. Its dimensions are 12 3/4" Wide By 20 3/8" Long.As you can see in the pictures the paint is heavily deteriorated throughout the piece. The actual painting is on a piece of wood loosely locked in the frame. The name at the bottom reads "BRIONES" I could not match the signature to any known artist in my opinion.Any info on possible artist, time period, value or if it is authentically old or possibly a fake of some sort. Thanks in advance for the help. kinda looks like Eduardo briones 1905-1964. I don't know its as old as it looks. very heavy damage. could be wrong.

It looks to have been in a fire, and the heat curled/rolled up the paint.

The wood that the painting is on looks like a raised panel from a door.

Thanks Ya'll. I was thinking possibly Eduardo Briones & did find some similar signatures of his but nothing exact. And I think you both are probably right as well about the fire & door panel.
