Hey guys, found this thing in Oklahoma next to some Great Coat and Dragoon buttons. Any ideas would be awesome! Thanks

Can you post some more pictures at different angles?

Does it appear to have been broken at the end with your fingers?

Is there or does it look like there was a spring at what appears to be the pivot point?

It appears from just this one picture to resemble something similar to a jumper cable clamp, but I'm sure it has another purpose than that.

It is a sewing table fabric gripper. Sometimes called a sewing bird or third hand. You only have the clip part. It was mounted on a clamp.
