Managed to slip out for a couple hours this morning and knocked on a few doors. Got a permission on a bare dirt corner yard. Pulled my first V nickel and also 3 war nickels.
The Saint Christopher medal is the smallest one I've ever seen.
The little buckle looks like it was gold plated and says "King" on the back.
The V nickel is the oldest coin I've found yet in almost 3 years of detecting.
Other items are mowed over F-86 and this little odd piece with a pat. date of 1920.

The war nickels and religious medal put me at 102 silvers fty!

sweet, love all that silver! that V nickel is in such great shape, I have 2 but they are barely legible, wtg

Maybe the end of a 30 amp screw-in fuse?

Look at all those beautiful silvers, I'd love to find a silver WWII war nickel some day.
I find a lot of early US coins, mainly from the 1860s, but I've yet to find a US war nickel.
