The last one is very interesting, what is it? They all looked good though. Nice finds!

Dangit ...Ya made me day with seein all those Bone tools...LOVE"EM!!!!!And that drill WHOOOA!!!!!!Congrats Buddy

hey hey mr larson, some good finds there, but that pendent,or pipe drill is awesume. thanks for sharing.

Awesome stuff.

It's hard to find bone here in Ohio, unless it's in a rock shelter.

The "pipe drill" could be used for pipes, but the drills I find usually have a flared base. Since you have found so many of them they must have a specialized purpose. Beautiful gem, whatever it was used for.

what do you guys think it is?

OK I guess I missed the description when I viewed it last. Id have to say Pendant I just dont see it being used any other way due to its eye appeal.

You found some really nice artifacts there Steve! :notworthy: Congratulations!

Here are the two items that I found. The larger one is broken.

yup old digger!

i wanna say nope on the pipe drill theory.........
it wasn't my idea.....it was johns.....
and even if he owns the site and says 'pipe drill' i say nope....it's a pendant!

i am trying to prove this to my boss 'john'.........stop calling it a 'pipe drill' ......ok john?

:icon_scratch: ''Correction made''

They are quite unique when you touch and feel them. They actually feel like a smooth melted down plastic touch.

are the white points agate, or are they opal? There is an area in WYO that has opalized petrified wood & the opal looked a lot like that. Nice finds. you make me so jealous!

Steve
I have learned that you guys will usually figure out what an item was used for. I find nothing like that here. I think they were paying respect to the material with a pendant. Like how they made outrageous swords here because the material would let them.
Very nice last couple of weeks. You still have some time before the snow flies.

mamabear, you can also find that opalized wood in eastern Montana near Glendive Mt. I used to a 9-10 inch long piece, by 5 inches across with a knot on the side. It had that milky opalescent color, sure wish I still had it.
