Wow, 2 great hunts, and both ending the day with 3 Coppers. This is the site where a whole community just picked up and left during the depression. As you can see theres nothing left of these farms but piles of rocks where the structures once stood. There were aprox 40 old farms that no longer exist, :tongue3: giving me about 40 places to dig old coppers, LOL!

The backwards Large Cent is pretty bewildering, If anyone has ever seen this before, please fill me in. I hate finding coins that dont jive up to the book....The half cent was also a nice surprise, looks to be 1806 or 07 the crusted one has yet to show his date, so i have it soaking. Also found this bell and a few flat buttons,

enjoy the pics
thanks,

Pro-

I especially like the counterfeits made by morons with obvious errors.

The hole was a nice touch though, even though everything else was reversed. The guy that made that would have loved early Ebay.

I would say that is a terrific example.

Early ebay, effing brilliant Plehb!!!!

WTG on those coppers. I'd go over that site a few more times.

Early E-bay? just what would be the shipping charges on that? :tongue3: this coin is made out of some kind of lead or pewter, but it does seem like a one time experiment by a garage tinkerer
