And........Its done. Mission complete

Wayne the production company pays for that. How could it be worse? The GPR man made off with the stash. Good God. This is why they make tents, guns and camping gear. I'd be sitting on that spot with a 12 ga while you dug. Not like the last time you had Tim and I dig.

I would have dug it up the minute I got the metal detector signal.......

In the long run I would not worry about it. Other than a few stoners and posters there is very little public interest in this story. A true stoner will never be convinced the stones are not the real deal. I like the Travis TV show story anyway. A nice reality TV spin. As a friend told me there is no such thing as reality on reality TV. Personally I just look at the story as a reality TV script. Sure there are many holes in it. But that's expected. Even the Travis script had its issues.

Why Carrol that treasure belongs to us all. It was in the National Forest.
Duh! You and me both! However I knew about that site several years ago. Though being in the area many times I had zero interest in visiting it. First it would not have been the honorable thing to do. Second I had no faith in the story. Upon reflection I can see Travis setting up the scene. I have no problem with that though I don't buy he hid something of value there in advance of a TV show. Why take the chance. You can add that later.

I just caught up on the DUSA read and boy what a doozy of story!

Why in the world would you so fat headed as to take a shady company out to a Treasure site at the advice of a idiotic studio executive, find a 3 foot deep chest with a Minelab and leave the site? I would've been naked and afraid running around guarding the site with my life knowing it was stagecoach double eagles!
If that part of the tale is even true!
Can't trust the first story for all we know he robbed a bank or a crook, who knows? It sounds like he was on the take while on duty. Phony Baloney!

If this is all after all this time...

I'll I can say is "Welcome to Treasure Hunting 101" never show your cards to anyone until the land is secure.
newer treasures are usually shallow. It's the older ones 60-75 foot deep you pretty much can leave not worrying someone would dig it. But three or four feet?

Just thought I'd show you the site I found a few years back and look at the resemblance to the line of sight cactus RG posted. This cactus was at one of Travis's sites I found during the hunt for it. I also found one his many hubcaps he saw on the wall of the barn. I have a lot of photo's of cactus and unless the whole world's become a stage I think we're all living in a movie set!

I also seem to remember I pointed out that there was longitude and latitude on the stone maps years ago not only to that site, but, in Mexico coded with Castilian bible gematria?

This whole thing is deja vu for me.

Took me a bit to upload this which was found at the same site as the cactus sight hole. Could this be a practice site for Travis or one his "Movie Sets"?

Bill, I've kept tight lips about my site till now (since everyone spilling the beans).
In this picture you will notice the intricate way these were planted to form part of the codes.

I have decoded the maps & they read "Beatlejuice X3"
I don't know exactly what that means but i'm working on it in my spare time....

Any help will be appreciated!

Carrol I can help but first I'd better sign a NDA so you can trust me. I'll bring a pin pointer detector and a garden scoop for the project. I can see two of those make the symbol for a Jesuit church doorway and the other ones look like Jesuit building codes of some sort...I know a company that uses a GPR (Gonad Prickly Removal) machine the guys name is Blake you can trust him with your life he's of sound character! If he vanishes just call out his name three times!

Wait, I've seen that cactus formation before! It's right next to the restroom near Colossal Cave! Could it be the bandit loot Travis found?

I think this whole thing is hogwash we're being handed a side story of some sort to cover what's really happening in the background.

If Travis left L&L coordinates to all his treasures it wouldn't be that accurate for hiding back then as GPS was not around and second it's to easy for such a skilled treasure hider as he to leave such an obvious trail. Star charts in his possession and he uses l&l coordinates? Using a compass and slide rule is the way you find l&l on a 7.5 minute topo. I know how because before GPS I used this method of location on topo maps. It's not very accurate at all using it that way. This is a typical story of so many other amateur Treasure hunters. I told everyone long ago that this guy was not to be trusted with the story or the hunt.

He botched both!

Maybe someday we'll learn the real truth. Discovery dropped it like a hot tader so you know it smelled like a rotten cactus!

Discovery knew right from the beginning that there was likely nothing at Oak Island. They didn't care. There was plenty of fodder, plenty of things to be "discovered", and more importantly plenty of drama. The only thing they were concerned with is that Prometheus (the production company) kept providing drama, and they did for 5 seasons, plus a 6th, coming up. And guess who's funding all this? The government of Nova Scotia. Why? Tourism is big business for them. Everyone is happy.

Same exact thing here with the TT drama. Many loose ends that could be "chased" and things that could be "discovered." Enough material to fill up a few seasons. Too bad someone got in way over his head and blew it big time.

That's not why Discovery pulled the plug on this. My understanding of the situation is that the sizzle reel they were sent turned out to be a complete joke.

I don't know why you were edited. Must of said something offensive. Like I said before an
amateur that thought he knew what a good show consisted of. Give him another 15 years or so of real Treasure Hunting maybe he'll get it! I think the Religious aspect turned the producers off a bit. Networks are very non Christian and shy away from any church relics. It's just the world we live in now nothing personal. When a sizzle reel fizzles they pull the plug.

Sarge, I knew from the get go there was more to the stones and that only parts of the true map were on there. I said it many times the maps were incomplete. It's nice to know that the symbols that were presented on them are true symbols from a ground map. This is something only someone that was at a true site of the maps creators would know. Probably every symbol on that ground map is at the site I've been working for years now. I've shown pictures of the large rock snail that morph's into a turtle, the horses head, the witch, all contained in the ground map I'm sure. Either the map was created for the site I'm familiar with or like I've said previously it's a general guide map for all treasure and gold mines sites. The hands and feet are represented in just the symbols on the fake stoner Priest map. So I guess in that sense Travis did accomplish his goal of bating other Thunters into doing his work for him. Years after his death. I still thank him for helping me to understand a small portion of it.

If the essence of RG and Company’s story is true then there is still a mystery of what the Ground and Barn Maps are for... correct ? Thats what the SoJ were excited about right ? Are those maps still in RG’s possession ?

You need to know where those maps apply!
I'm my opinion they cover the whole Hewitt And Millsite Canyon area. How do you narrow that area down? You look where Travis and Uncle Phil looked. Where is that? That's not so hard if you know the area and I do AND have a guide. A guide? The Garman slides showing Travis and Phil searching a certain spot. Jr and Blake the GPR man need not apply. Life's funny is it not. Some burned bridges just can't be rebuilt. But don't worry the Legend team is on it.

a couple of Qs for the folks that know the desert
in the GPR vid, to the left of the screen, when the guy doing video moves
away, you can see a dark ring in that area, is that natural, if not what made
it.
same vid, same place left of screen, in the foreground is a cactus and in
front of it is a half moon shape of bare ground, no vegetation , is that
normal or are those 2 things some sort of anomalies

The problem is how can anyone believe any of it? So the Jesuits saw some symbols on the map they claim is theirs, big deal... That's a ploy they've used in the past to obtain any treasure if and when it's found. They'll lay claim to anything if it adds to the Vatican's coffers. You don't need one of their maps to find a treasure. It's not theirs to begin with. It belonged to the King of Spain at the time. Not the Jesuit's. Those types of maps seem to be popping up all over the place. I had one I looked at just recently. Problem is they have no starting point and are extremely vague. More of a guide for symbols than a map to anywhere.

Just like Travis anyone that looks for anything off those maps will spend the rest of their life digging empty holes.

those mountains are full of empty holes and broken dreams...they should have ran the stone maps through a jaw crusher years ago
